Today I've been trying to decide which art to take to Boomtown.
I've tried to keep it simple by deciding only to take Traveller Tartan and jewellery. Choosing which jewellery to take, has been a day long job though.
Displaying it will be a challenge too, but I'll deal with that when I get there.
I managed to bodge an awning on to my little Wagon R today in a trial run, which hopefully I will be able to use as a tiny stall. I've packed some shiny; glittery fabric to line it with, and some obligatory fairy lights.
The picture above left; is of some Sterling Silver and Copper Boomtown necklaces that I will be selling. (Handmade by me from recycled silver and copper). If you're lucky enough to be going to Boomtown; then swing by me at Whistler's Green. There you'll find out if everything that glitters is Golding..

I've spent the last couple of days getting ready to leave for Boomtown Festival which is by Winchester.
Below is the official trailer for this year's festival. It really is an amazing experience.
The first time I went, I felt like I had stepped into the Blade Runner film.
I'm really looking forward to it, as my daughters are going too and this time we will all be camped together.
I have a feeling I will have the tiniest camper at the festival as I'm camping in my Suzuki Wagon R.
(It's a bit too far to take the showman's wagon). I'm sleeping in the back of the Wagon R; which I can just about do, if I sleep diagonally).
I'm hoping to have a little stall where I can sell my Traveller tartan and my handmade jewellery.
If you're going to Boomtown please come and say hi, I will be camped in Whistlers Green.
My daughter Amber is modelling one of my Traveller tartan chiffon scarves in the above pic; if you fancy one come and find me, but hurry 'cos I don't have many!
I'll be there for a little under a week, then all too soon I'll be "Home again, home again, jiggity jig".....
(I guess you have to have seen Blade Runner to get that one?)...

The end of June and July were a little bit strange for me.
I have to admit I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with the internet. This is even more evident when life gets stressful. I feel like I just want to run away from it all, and live on a desert island.
I am confident that I could quite happily do this too, as in the past I lived for 15 years with no electricity or running water.
My darling little Border Terrier Brillo, passed away at the end of June . He was getting on a bit; and he definately hadn't been very well for quite a while, so it was meant to be.
Then I found out that a very good friend has a short while to live. Then on top of all this another friend's daughter (who he'd named after my daughter) tragically commited suicide at just 18 years old. Yep, not the greatest set of weeks!
As a  tribute to little Sergeant Brillo; I've painted a panel of the Showman's Wagon with an image of him, with his head poking out of a trompe l'oeil cat flap. It probably needs a tiny bit of tweaking , but I'm quite happy with the effect so far. Especially the faux 'Brillo' plaque.
Now he'll always be there guarding the place. A Border Terrier, within a border...

This is also my birth month that is why there are so many reasons for me to happy on this month. By the way, I noticed that you are quite loaded with a lot of stuff to do; well, I am jut hoping that you can pull it off and everything will be carried the light way. Since you have discussed about it, I became interested going to Boomtown. Int seems like the place has a lot of stuff to offer to me that's why there is no reason for me to say "no" to this! Sergeant Brillo is really cute by the way and I want to have him as my pet!

Brilliant!, (I always wanted to start a blog with that word), I'm heading towards Glastonbury Festival 2017 and unusually the forecast is, it's going to be a scorcher YIPPIE!
